At QInvest, Anuj is responsible for investing the firm's capital across asset classes including: Public Equity, Private Equity, Credit, and Real Estate. Prior to QInvest, Anuj served as Co-Founder and Partner of the Yucaipa Global Partnership Fund, a private equity fund formed by former US President William Jefferson Clinton and The Yucaipa Companies. Prior to Yucaipa, Anuj spent 16 years in investment banking with CIBC World Markets, Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust and Drexel Burnham Lambert. At Bankers Trust, Anuj served as a founding member of the team that was responsible for the firm’s successful entry into the high yield business in the US in 1990. This was followed by several senior level assignments in the mid-1990s, including Managing Director, Head of Debt Capital Markets (Asia) based in Hong Kong; Managing Director, Head of Corporate Finance (South Asia) based in Singapore; Managing Director, High Yield Capital Markets (Europe) based in London; and Managing Director, Financial Sponsors/Leveraged Finance (US) based in New York. Over the course of his career Anuj has had broad transaction experience in the developed and emerging markets across corporate finance, capital markets, leveraged finance and M&A. His sector experience spans over various industry sectors including consumer, retail, industrial, financial services and resources. At Yucaipa, Anuj was a key member of the founding group and played an integral role in all aspects of the fund’s formation, fundraising, staffing, investment activities as well as portfolio management. Anuj served as the Fund’s representative on the Boards of Garrard (UK), Stephen Webster (UK) and Easy Bill (India). Anuj holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
