Balaji joined QInvest from Dubai Real Estate Corporation where he was General Manager, Finance with responsibility for the Group Finance and Treasury functions, and was also an Executive Committee member. Prior to this, he was Chief Operating Officer for NBD Investment Bank (NBDIB) in Dubai leading the Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and IT functions, and as an early member of the NBDIB Executive Committee was responsible for setting up these activities.

Before joining NBDIB, he held several senior management roles in Finance with National Bank of Dubai, spent 11 years with Barclays including Barclays Capital, Middle East in roles including  Chief Operating Officer  / Head of Finance and Product Control, and Corporate Treasury, and was earlier with HSBC in Corporate Banking covering Trade Finance, Credit, and relationship management.

Balaji is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) USA, a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, and holds an MBA, Finance from Manchester Business School.
