QInvest, Qatar's leading investment bank and one of the most prominent Islamic financial institutions in the world, was named by EMEA Finance magazine as the “Best Local Investment Bank in Qatar” in the publication’s annual Middle East Banking Awards.
This award was presented to QInvest at the publication's Middle East Banking Awards 2014 Charity Dinner, which was held at the JW Marriott Hotel Dubai on the evening of Wednesday, February 25, 2015. This was the seventh consecutive year that this award ceremony has been held, and QInvest has been recognised on several separate occasions on both a country and regional level for its excellence in investment banking.
“I am truly honoured to receive this award on behalf of QInvest. Being recognised as the best local investment bank in Qatar for the second year in a row by the prestigious EMEA Finance is a testament to the strength of the firm’s client offering. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to everyone at QInvest for their hard work over the past year," said Tamim Hamad Al-Kawari, CEO of QInvest.
"Over less than a decade in business, the growth of QInvest has been a remarkable success story not only for Qatar's banking industry, but for the region. We're happy to recognise the firm again in these awards." said Tim Burke, editor, EMEA Finance.
"The variety of deals handled by the bank in its domestic market and internationally last year show the team's skills at helping clients to close ambitious and often groundbreaking transactions - QInvest is a worthy winner of our award for the best local investment bank in Qatar." said Chris Moore, publisher, EMEA Finance.
EMEA Finance is a bimonthly publication that reports on the major financial events and happenings initiated and influenced by the international financial industry active in Europe, Middle East, and Africa (the EMEA region).
The EMEA Finance Magazine Middle East Banking Awards recognise the leading banks across the region. The awards celebrate the banks that stand out among their peers, demonstrate leadership in their home markets and top the performance and deal-making tables both in individual countries and across the Middle East. The awards consider various performance and structural factors such as market share, growth in important product classes, and corporate strategy.
